About Festival da Cultura Portuguesa
Our Mission
In the summer of 2019, seven of the Portuguese clubs of New Jersey partnered with VIA PAL, a local Luso-American non-profit, to develop a daylong event that not only highlighted the best of the Portuguese Community but also fundraised for two great causes: 1) a scholarship program for Portuguese descending high school seniors accepted to a college or university 2) and donated, as a group, to various charity organizations. These two goals have been fulfilled and distributed every year since then, and four years later, we are pleased to present this great event once again!
2024
The “Festival da Cultura Portuguesa” brings together the Portuguese communities from throughout the tri-state area. This event is a wonderful way to showcase our talented musicians, unique folklore, and delicious gastronomy.
This year’s FESTIVAL DA CULTURA PORTUGUESA will take place on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at Cruz Golf Country Club in Farmingdale, New Jersey.
Don't Miss the Fun!
The 2024 FDCP will include our morning bicycle and motorcycle run, a variety of live musical performances, cultural exhibitions of dance and the arts, delicious Portuguese food, Super Bock Beer and Portuguese wines, sangria, desserts. Children will have the opportunity to play traditional games, create arts and crafts and enjoy activities geared just for them. There will be a variety of recreational activities including swimming, cultural exhibitions, Portuguese artists/artisans and vendors, and we can’t forget the fireworks!
